    Shuddering

So yeah, my Vic started shuddering at low speeds today. The feeling seemed familiar, but I don't know where I remember it from. I'm worried this may be the transmission, but could there be any other explenation? Hopefully something not a major problem? Please? I've sunk $2k I barely had into this car and I can't afford to sink anymore.

was it like the engine or something in the driveline shuddering or was it in the suspension?

Scott is on the right track..... Check the TV grommet, make sure its not cracked or broken.

from my experience, low speed/high load shudder is usually caused by an ignition mis-fire, usually from a bad cap/rotor, or spark plug wires.

Checking the ECM for stored trouble codes would also reveal any sensor related issues.

I was also going to ask when the last time it had a tune-up and fuel filter change.

What year is your car? If its an 86 it won't have a bushing. Make sure the cable is hooked up anyway tho.

All that fucking worrying and panicking about what it could be and what it would cost...

...it just needed its spark plugs changed. :bs:

I also remember where I'd seen this happen before- my stepfathers pickup- same damn problem. I'm glad it's nothing major, but annoyed by how unbeleivable stupid the problem actually was.
