wining noise from alt, water pump power steering, area.

Ok here it goes, there is a wining noise coming from my alt, water pump, power steering area. one belt runs all 3 and motor. My first though was alt. as i remember hearing the same thing in another car before. due to money a cant trouble shoot so i need some help. I took the belt off, turned all the pullys. nothing felt weird. cranked it over no noise. put the belt back on. there it is again. it started slow , now its real bad. we i put my hand on the alt it feels the strongest, and it also feels pretty hot.... it doesn't change if i turn the wheel. or add lights radio ect. water level is always good. any help would be great!!

Could be the alternator is dying. They tend to get noisy when working too hard. Check the plugs on the side of the alternator to make sure they aren't starting to melt down. The stock alternator on these is pretty much a piece of junk, and the rubber plugs on the side will get loose and develop poor connections.

A length of hose may help you narrow this down. Warning! Do not get it caught in the spinning pulleys or belts or the fan. One end on the part, one end in your ear.
