    Box engine mount replacement

    need to replace the engine mounts on my 88. how much of a PITA is it? do I have to remove the LCAs to do it?

    edit: nevermind... found the info I needed thanks to google search of this site...

    You don't have to, but its much easier if you do. I have gotten them apart with good flexy sockets but its a major pain in the ass. If you've never had the control arm bushings replaced, here's your excuse.

      they're energy up front already. BTDT. They still look good too.

      I have some nice swivel joints and should be able to get in there using my impact tool to pull them out quick. I'll test fit my driver setup first before bracing the engine and all that fun stuff, but I shouldn't have that hard of a time if I can actually get at them as stated.

        I did it with the control arms out. Still had some difficulty maneuvering out the old and slipping in the new.
