    Marquis + TC Rear Clip?

Anybody think this would work? I was comparing some pics on ebay and I think I might be able to swap the trim and tail lights, while keeping my mercury trunk and bumper. The body line on the trim is close but I dont think it will line up.

doubt it would work, the tops of the 1/4 panels are definitely wider on a towncar i can confirm this as soon as its light out

Townies have very different sheetmetal. With enough hacking anything can fit, but whether it looks good in the end is a different story. You might be able to replace your taillamps with the un-lighted strip from a TC, but dunno what you'd do for lights, unless you modded the TC's stock reflector to be brake/tail lamps. Those reflector lenses are hollow and I'm sure there is enough room tio sneak some LEDs in there. Probably a good 3/4" - 1" deep. Only trouble would be the liscense plate. TC plates are on the rear bumper, not in the trunk lid like a GM.

Actually that would be kinda cool. Have that whole middle reflector a giant brake lamp. The later Mark VIII had something similar. Never again would I have to hear someone say "I didn't know you were stopping".

And thats an 85-86 TC. The reflector panel changed a bit for 87-89. The reverse lamps moved outward and the lens is smaller. Aluminum strip at the top is wider.

What "look" do you want exactly? You could probably mod the the GM rear lights section to accept TC lights. It's up to you.
