    Swapping computers?

My 89 has never had a lot of power. Even when my dad got it with 90k miles on it. Now my 90 had a shit load more mid and top end power and would smoke the 89 even when I had bigger tires. 0-60 was a full second faster on the speedo's and the one in the 90 was 20-30 mph off.(89 was 11 seconds: 90 was 10 seconds by the speedo, so 10 seconds to 80) Do you think swapping the computers would make a difference?

That part that always perplexed me was the 90 was a LOPO as well. Have the motor in the shed. Kinda hard to want to swap engine parts when Its gotten 210k trouble free miles. I did find an HO I may get though. Aint decided yet.

Holy shit. I swapped em. It is faster. My hunch about the 90 computer being reburned must be true. Now to see what happens to my gas mileage.

Interesting. What are the catch codes on the two ECMs? Its a 3 digit code somewhere on there.

I think I put a VH2 in. I have it laying under the hood now. Want to see what it does to my mileage.

I hope my '90 GM has the "8KF" ECM. The GM has always felt stronger than my old '89 TC.
