    Case size, carrier, ect ect...

Also does anyone know of a 13" brake upgrade kit for our cars?

for 13" brakes, you best bet is to find some calipers that work with 13" rotors (wilwood, PBR, Baer) get a 13" 2-piece rotor that has the proper offset hat and make a bracket to mount the caliper to the spindle.

If there ain't a kit out there, I'll just redo the brakes with PI parts, If they are avaliable at Part stores.

But I need to know the rear specs so I know what kind of locker and gears to order.

            [annoying ass buzzer sound] Wrong!!!!

            86+ Used 8.8's 79-85 used 7.5" 28 spline rears.

As for the brakes...use 98-02 stuff. Damn near 13" (12-12.4" rotors) Works great and is much cheaper than any other aftermarket kits.

right i always forget that the pre 86s used a lot of different chassis components. The 87 Cougar R-7 parts car we have is a factory 302 car and still has a 7.5 in it.

Is there actually a hub that'll allow the use of regular hat-type rotors on an older Panther with stock spindles and junk? I just hate messing with bearings every time I do the front brakes.

The 98-02 brake upgrade is such. Running the rear disk is also the same.

Yeah, the 98+ front end change is the best. Im gonna just put a whole new rear end in my vic since I found out its that queer ass 7.5.

Huh? If it's anything it's an 8.5... There are some oddball things on the early cars..
