I have a set of gas-a-justs on the back of my Mark VII, and I'm pretty happy with them. never used them on a Panther. They have a good warranty on them from what I recall. No experience with the Monroe.

Monroe's are good factory replacements... but KYB's do seem to help the ride and handling a little more.

I've had excellent luck with Monroe shocks over the years, and will be buying another set of their SS Rear Shocks for the Box I'm currently building. I'm still undecided on what I want for the front though, I would like something a little stiffer than stock.

Which one is stiffer? The KYB GR2's or the Gas-a-just's??? I would like a stiffer ride while remaining in the realm of parts house shocks. Nothing made for racing or anything exotic.

The gas-a-just is more firm than the GR2. I wouldn't suggest a GR2 if you have stiffer than stock springs. I have a set on my S10 (with stock springs) and they're not firm enough. It has too much brake dive and it sort of mushes over dips and bounces. The S10 front suspension is extremely similar to Panther front suspension, and has roughly double the spring rate.

edelbrock IAS shocks work great, firm when you need it, slightly softer on really rough stuff
                          What happened here?
