Is "National" any sort of recognized brand? I'd probably be looking at Kumho for a budget tire - I've got two sets by them and they're both rather nice.

stay away from road runner tires at fleet farm, unless you like lots of tire spin, wet or dry. tires are never something to cut corners with. spend a little more than $50 a tire and get something that will last and that you wont have to worry about. a good wet/dry tire is the firestone indy 500.What happened here?

I may actually be looking at Coopers in the future ... they're nearly the only brand that still makes a 265/50/15, even though I've had a prejudice against them ever since a pair of Lifeliners helped put me into a tree back in '97. That was both the first and the LAST time I've had tires installed without researching exactly what I want, ordering what I want at a good price, and having it dropshipped to a local installer.Last edited by 1987cp; 01-31-2009, 01:01 PM.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

I have a set of Bridgestones on my Towncar and I'm very pleased with them. Excellent traction, good treadwear figures, and very deep tread. The Goodyear Eagle RS/A on the Mark VII are OK, but they suck in the snow. THey're decent in the rain but nothing special.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
