    Mustang rims on a GM

Wasn't really looking for new wheels but found a really good deal, probably cheaper than it would be to pick up 2 more original matching caps. I think they are from the 99 or so mustang.

Does anyone know if the offset is different? Any one know what they would look like on a panther?

You are going to need 1 inch spacers.

This is what I've come up with so far.

      Cast Turbines - 15 x 6.5 3.750" backspacing 0mm offset measured from a 3.25" centerline
      86-93 Pony - 16 x 7 4.870" backspacing 22mm+ offset measured from a 3.50" centerline
      2001 Bullitt - 17 x 8 5.720" backspacing 31mm+ offset measured from a 4.00" centerline
      98-99 Cobra - 17 x 8 5.720" backspacing 31mm+ offset measured from a 4.00" centerline
      05-10 Bullitt - 17 x 8 6.295" backspacing 45mm+ offset measured from a 4.00" centerline
      03-04 Marauder - 18 x 8 6.295" backspacing 45mm+ offset measured from a 4.00" centerline
      2010 5 Spoke - 18 x 8 6.295" backspacing 45mm+ offset measured from a 4.00" centerline
      05-10 Bullitt - 18 x 8.5 6.700" backspacing 50mm+ offset measured from a 4.25" centerline
      94-04 CobraR - 17 x 9 5.980" backspacing 25mm+ offset measured from a 4.50" centerline
      2003 Cobra - 17 x 9 6.120" backspacing 29mm+ offset measured from a 4.50" centerline
      94 -04 FR500 - 18 x 9 5.980" backspacing 25mm+ offset measured from a 4.50" centerline
      2000 Cobra R - 18 x 9.5 6.120" backspacing 22mm+ offset measured from a 4.75" centerline
      GT-500 - 18 x 9.5 7.125" backspacing 48mm+ offset measured from a 4.75" centerline
      2011 5 Spoke - 19 x 8 6.295" backspacing 45mm+ offset measured from a 4.00" centerline

      Rim Centerline = Rim Width / 2
      Offset = Backspace - Rim Centerline - 0.5 x 25.4
      Rim Backspace = Rim Width / 2 + 0.5in(12.7mm) + Offset

I guess that kills the cheapness of these wheels. I'll probably just hold off for some explorer rims then. Sounds like those are the only ones other than other box rims that don't need a spacer.

85crownHPP has a set of rear wheel drive mopar 17" steelies that look really good on his 85 CV with no spacers. Maybe that can be an alternative for you.
