i had 255/60/15's on the rear of my old vic........they tend to wear the center of the tread out faster tho..........i know tom ran 275's but i've found decent handling and tire wear with 245/60/15 all around

Actually, you should run the pressure a little lower. Civilian steelies are 7" wide. I wouldn't recomend a 275 on a 6.5" wheel. One thing that I am glad to have back is the ablility to rotate my tires again. Diffent sizes front and back look better though.
Try fitting a 8 inch wide circle track slick on a 6" wide steelie. Took about 45 minutes, tire spoons, a cheeta (basically an air tank that will dump 100PSI into a tire instantly) a split rim cage, 2 tire techs, and a lot of tire lube. Eventually had to run tubes.
