    I caved guys (brakes)

As it turns out, my drums may be warped, pretty sure they are (since the pulsations get worse with the longer I drive)

    My brake shoes have cracked.

They quy quotes my 100 (parts included) to do the rears

    That a fair price?

considering the drums run $60 and pads are about $15, I'd think so.

Would it make more sense for me to do it? I think it would.

Does a 1989 Lincoln town car have 10-11 inch brakes? For some reason, I think it is 10, right?

That's nothing! We're pampered by the relatively cheap prices on our old american cars, and it throws our sense of repair prices out of whack
Lincolnmania's probably right-- just shoes and a hardware kit is all you should get for $100. That's $20-$30 in parts, and leaves $70 shop labor, mechanic probably sees $15 of that.
Since you can do it yourself, just do!

...my roomate has a bmw mini and dealer price on brakes all the way 'round is $1200!!
