The plug came out! Woo hoo!

I cut a 18" piece of metal pipe and used that on the ratchet handle, and pulled with all I had... and pulled, and ended up eventaully dragging myself under the car. And then... it moved. Home free!

There was plenty of gear oil in there, and because the car was on jackstands and tilted forward somewhat, some of the oil poured out. Not a lot, but I'll top it off later, now that the car is level again, and the plug will come out more easily. THe oil looked real good, so I suspect it had been serviced not too long ago.

I decided not to get the ramps yet, they were the Rhinos and the ones they had at the FLAPS were pretty pricey. I did get new heavy duty jackstands, my old ones are okay for a small car like the Golf.

And yes, my son is watching the moths fly out of his wallet, once again.
But the cars are purring like kittens, now.
