went to start my 87 cv wag and nothing all lights on dash work got 12 volts on volt meter had to jump the starter relay on fender and car fired right up turned it off and tryed to start again nothing.the starter relay is new and neutral safty switch also what could be the problem

replace the ignition switch

bad connection on one of the battery cables or the new soleniod is toast

or the connection at the neutral switch is bad. try putting it in N instead of P. Could be your shift linkage is a bit tweaked too. GM cars have that problem sometimes.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

soleniod was bad tryed new one and car starts right up. do these things go bad often and whats a good brand to get sucks getting underneath the car to clean contacts to
neutral safety switch to find out it wasnt that and for further info i need to know what else should i clean to prevent this or parts that might go nextComment
