    getting Hella H4 headlights...questions

alright i'm picking up the hella H4 lights, and will do the relay upgrade, and have a few questions for ya's...

-i believe i can use the H4 lows for the highbeams also, just connect the highbeam leads and they will work fine?

-comes with 60/55w hi/lo bulbs. Can i go with a 90w or so H4 bulb to replace it?

-are all H4 bulbs Hi/Lo combo, or do I need just a low beam bulb for the lows, and just hi beam for the highs housings? If the standand Hi/Lo h4 bulbs will work fine in my highbeam and low beam housing locations i will just do that.

alright I got the hella H4 conversion E-codes and a true HID kit 6000k so its not to tuner-ish looking. They're bright as hell but have a sharp cutoff so aimed down they don't burn out on-comming retinas. I also put pure white LED's in the side markers, licence plate, and inside the doors with more to come for the rest of the interior and under the hood lighting.

they're bright but can you actually see anything down the road? The two cars I drove with those things didn't light up the driving area worth a shit. Lots of light, none of it where it was useful.

this is on my list of mads to do this summer, because I have the headlight relay done, but what did you do about the crossovers for the headlights? I'm pretty sure there was something mentioned about it in Pirates thread....

i guess the DOT housings do not focus HID bulbs because well they are slightly longer than your standard H4 bulb, so thats why i went with the E-codes, since they are supposed to focus well with HID's... Yes the pattern is very good and the light isn't patchy at all, its just a really bright smooth glow out infront of the car.

and for the crossovers the housings came with a harness to correct the wiring, and i also did the relay mod just for the hell of it.
