Would the thermactor system in my car be as the one described in literature I have for 70s-80s midsize fords? It looks identical or very close.

probably. The air injection junk didn't change very much, just the bends in the pipes to accomodate the EFI upper instead of the carb/CFI intake.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
