I have the same issue on my drivers side control.....the switch does not turn on dome light
I bought two of these....would this fix both issues?

Another tid bit....I have no experience in doing this...any tips with how to connect the wiring
    would be appreciated.

The switch is not supposed to turn on the dome light , only the reading lights in the "C" pillar and only when the ignition is in the "on " position

Cool, thanks for the info....but since my current switch does not do this...would it work if I were to replace it with what
      I bought?

It may or may not be the problem , but it certainly would not hurt to try it. , it just plugs in when you take the bezel out of the door.

The "c" pillar is where the back part of your roof slopes down to meet the car , they are referred to, front to back as "a" at the windshield "b" just after the front door , and "c"
