    Rear Deforster Light Fix

Remove the defroster switch from the dash by shaving the four plastic tabs holding the cover plate on. Remove the wire harness from the back. From underneath remove a single screw holding the switch.

Use a small hack saw to remove the plastic area around the bulb location. Be careful not to cut too deep or you will cut into the circuit board. You should see the small bulb underneath the funnel/tube looking part.

Snip off the two small wires close to the bulb. Solder a new bulb to the two small wires. You can solder the new bulb to the circuit board instead if you like. I used a small LED bulb from: http://www.superbrightleds.com/morei...edge-base/226/

Slide the new bulb down the funnel/tube. Glue or tape the plastic housing back on to the switch. Install the switch back in the dash in reverse order.

As long as you don’t spill over solder or cut the circuit board, you should have a working rear defroster light!

Thanks! I'm now trying to fit a Tach in the clock area now and make it look OEM. Might take awhile. The SunPro I bought is a little too big.
