Air conditioning cuts out when accelerating

Air conditioning works great until I give the car some gas to go up a hill or accelerate onto the highway. Then the fan seems to stop blowing anything out of the vents until I ease off the throttle again. I'm thinking it might be a vacuum leak somewhere. What do you guys think?
