Hey guys. I purchased the blower motor assembly and I have unscrewed the screws. I am suspecting it has been replaced before because 3 of the four screws were 5/16 whilst the last one was smaller.

Now I have the blower loose but I can't just seem to be able to pull out the whole assembly. Any advice?

It will come out - keep working with it. The plastic fender liner is clearanced for it to pull out. Move any wiring harnesses in that area. I believe the bottom comes out first then it comes up at an angle.

Never mind my hands were just frozen. I found out why the piece has a flat side. I was able to get it out and the new one in without many issues. Except for me forgetting the foam gasket the first time. But now my heater works and its better then ever. I think some time this spring I'm going to have to tackle figuring out the hinge issues.

Where did you get a gasket? I've replaced these on 2 cars had had to use RTV to make a gasket and washers as spacers to keep the cage from rubbing. The gaskets on the original blowers were so far gone they would not be re-used.

thin foam sheet and scissors make such things for me. I have some appropriate foam left over from a laminate floor installation at work. Its not good for much, but its perfect for seals of that nature.
