Home Depot carries it by the steel and aluminum tubing at the end of the nuts and bolts aisle. I've been eying it up for some grill work myself.
Yeah, that's kind of the stuff I had in mind. I still haven't gotten around to looking at the two Lansing-area Home Depots, though. I shall make a mental note to do so as soon as I get back to Michigan from Connecticut.

BTW, here's the sample slatless grille. I did see some expanded metal mesh at Ace Hardware yesterday, but it was way too thick and the holes were too big. Still haven't made it to the Home Despot yet .....
