Four bolts, Kept two of them in place to make it easier to lower it to the ground, (It is heavy!) by taking one bolt loose at a time... then used a long coat hanger to fish the bolts, and base plates out of the frame, through one of the frame holes... took about 10 minutes to take it off the other car...

Got the hitch ball adapter today for free from my friends junkyard... he said it had been on the shelf for a while, just take it. it was pretty rusty, but not beat up... getting it sand blasted tommorow, then paint like the hitch. The sand blast guy said no charge... Since I sent him some business last week.... Got a stainless steel hitchball for it also today... So I am set!

          Hitch for cheap = good

Being able to re-use those hard to find bolts = way cool!!

also, depends if you have a sedan or station wagon. since the wagon is longer out the back. the old mans wagon, has a sedan hitch. it is more hidden, cause it dont come out as far.

I don't tow very often, but it is nice to have. When I do tow, I have an old beat up hitch ball to put on it just for towing... this one is for show....
