I voted for the potenza in the pole as it was v rated & had a 2nd place test score from Tire rack. I would not pick an S or T rated myself, so I did not vote for the other three tire choices.

    But.... IMO I would suggest you look at the following also made in USA or Canada tires;

Cooper CS4t V or H rated blackwalls as opposed to the T rated white walls in the poll. (I did not get a price on these)
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S plus AA traction rated with a w Speed rating (maybe a bit too high)
BFG Advantage T/A H or V rated ( I have these now, not a bad tire)
Conti pro contact AA traction rated H speed
General Altimax HP H or V rated (the cheapest of the bunch, tire rack rated this excellent)

    new tires are always great

i dont plan on going any faster than 130MPH. if i could find a thin whitewall with a v rating i would be all over it.

Also the HPP in the future will be the same color of the car when it gets painted Dark Titanium Clearcoat Metallic

Never heard of any of those tires. Two I've had decent luck with personally:

        Yoko Avid Touring S
        Goodyear RS-A

Generally, if I can't find favorable survey results at the Tire Rack, and the price isn't just about as cheap as you can go in a given size, that tire's not for me.

V rating is supposed to be very good for stability and cornering manners even if you never exceed legal highway speeds.

so your telling me if i use HPP wheels i must use blackwalls. if thats the case then i might be leaning toward the Potenza.

so now i decide between bridgestone turanza Serenity or Potenza. i heard the potenza tires make alot of noise and are horrible in the winter. the turanza also seem pretty decent.

There is nothing wrong with either Michelin. They both were OE equipment on Panthers. IMHO unless you have serious suspension mods (or a PI), you don't need a V rated tire on a Box Panther. I voted for the Symmetry as I believe them to be a little quieter than the Energy which are probably harder rubber (for FE purposes).

Just my .02, neither are the ultimate in performance but a good match for the in stockish suspension.

 Like the guy who posted up, complaining that he was skidding all around no matter what, and then insisted that he "couldn't" replace his tires because it'd cost $1000 .... LOL

Matt: to make my above hint clearer, before considering any tire, always see if it's listed at the Tire Rack and check their survey and review results for the specific model you're looking at. Sometimes I've even managed to Google up Tire Rack survey results for tires not currently sold at Tirerack.com.

the only mods going to be done related to suspension and brakes will be Rear disc brakes conversion, PI front and rear swaybar, big brakes swap. thats about it. the speed rating of the tire doesnt matter to me that much as long as it's an H or V as i plan to go to the track every now and then when all my mods are complete to test stuff out.

i also do not want to lose fuel economy. i rather get better or keep fuel economy than lose it.

I owned potenza's on my corolla..idk if they have changed them at all. I can say they lasted FOREVER with very little wear. and they handled half decently too...idk about the others just my 2 cents.
