Virago is a line of cruiser motorcycles produced by Yamaha, extremely comfortable and reliable, easy to maintain and mod too. However I was incorrect, mine is not a Virago, they are all V-twins and started in 1981 as 750cc, while mine is a 400cc inline-twin, my uncle has one of the first production Viragos and caught my mistake. He also said that my bike can still use many of the Virago parts as bolt-ons, so that's a good thing when it comes to upgrades

Your bike might be of the "xs" or "special" series of bikes, I think...

I would like to build an XS650 chopper, of a CB500/550/750 chopper..

Hell, any vintage jap scrap powered chopper would do, rigid frame and all

We have two Yamaha 650 specials. My dads building a cafe racer out of one of them now, bought some old honda crotch rocket and swapped the aluminum swingarm onto it with some machining. Motors on the bench right now. I dont forsee the project being completed anytime soon.
