        Thanks guys.

I was in the car last week and looked in the back seat and found that the seatbelt sleeve was all cracked up. Found that LMR sells comparable sleeves for mustangs and picked up a set. They did not have the sand beige color available but did have black. The black turned out fine.

as you can see they are a tad shorter but I am happy with how it all turned out.

Nice find. I hate it when one day the part is fine, the next day it is broken. Why ? who knows. That happened allot when I lived in the desert.

            Thanks.

I believe this was self induced. The decorative seat trim limits the clearance the belt sleeves have when in used. Kinda wedges the sleeve between the inner rocker/door sill area and the seat. I believe that is why it exploded.

I am definitely cautious with everything though as things are getting older and older. I can on ly imagine tings just crumbling in your hand while in the desert.

Those seatbelt sleeves all seem to follow the "I'm okay" and then switch to "I'm exploding" overnight. Glad you were able to find a suitable replacement. Guess you could dye them.

SEM paint will work well with parts like those.

I've used SEM dye on 2 cars. If you are careful with your prep it holds up well.

The Mitymerc was hit in the fall & is going to the body shop next month.

I pulled an interior panel to asses the 1/4 panel damage & decided to pull them all and re dye them. They still look pretty good after 20 + yrs.

Loading tools & slicks in & out every weekend did take a bit of a toll but they are still "acceptable"

Seen Kadachrome wolf post up about inlaying a fancy crest center cap emblem/decal onto stock HPP center caps.

I thought that they looked so damn good I had to do some research myself.

Wound up finding the seller of the center cap emblems but he only had a couple black background ones in his possession like Zach had posted and they were in poor condition and they were two silver and two gold.

I purchased a few of the red background with silver crest center caps he had in stock (looks identical to the factory turbine centercap emblems for my 87 crown victoria)and he threw in the not so good black back ground ones.

I was able to make them look good again and decided I wanted to find some new chrome center caps. I located a vendor on ebay and picked up a few sets. They are all plastic but fit the wheels extremely snug and the emblems fit perfectly in place.

Installed all of that this morning.

Yes. One side is black back ground with gold crest while the other side is black with silver....You can only see one side at a time. Doesn't bug me now and doubt anyone will really catch that in person. Its worth it. The black back ground just goes so well with the black mesh powder coating on my hpp wheels. Love the way it all turned out.

                            Thanks guys.

This is what the original centercap looked like on the turbines my car came with in case anyone is not familiar with them:

These are the other centercap decal/emblems I have from the seller that gifted me those black background ones:

The above are identical to the black back ground ones and fit into the new aftermarket centercaps I have located just the same.

Like mentioned above...the little details I like. It just ties the wheels in better to the original style of the car over the ford caps I have been running....

And definitely more fitting than the BBS ones I had too:

The seller did not. But! I have found people who will custom make them. May be an outlet for you. I’ll have to look up the link.
