Very nice wagon, and those wheels work well. Dig the funky interior color, too.
You mentioned you'd added a 140mph "overlay" ... is there a way to recalibrate the guts on the electronic speedo so you don't have to swap the whole thing?

There is a way to recalibrate it, yes... but you would have to take it to a speedo shop or if you knew what you where doing as far as electronic's changing resistor's and such will do the job too. I just grabbed the electronic's from the cluster so it would read right.

That's a nice looking wagon. Spotless almost from what I saw, other than some cancer near the cornering lights.
I'm liking the colour combo and panelling too.
I'm seeing 8800 miles. Do you think it's rolled over already?
Thanks for the kind words... yeah, it has some spots of rust showing on both fenders by the marker lights and on both rear quarters too.
Not really sure what ford is calling this color, it's like a off goldish brown... I don't know.
Before the gear teeth broke in the cluster, it stopped at 141,xxx.... I didn't worry about fixing it until approx. 4 years later. I'm guessing just over 200,000 miles on her now. The 8,813 on the cluster you see on it know is where I attempted to change the odometer gear last summer and the gear broke again. It was a cheap quick junkyard fix that really did not work for me. The trip meter does not work either... same issue. Odometer gears/ worm gears NEW are 25 bucks ea. on avg. I have a wild hair up my nose, and thinking about doing a fairly hard conversion with swapping in a 96 cluster from the Grand Marquis. The cluster will fit... some very minor adjustments to be made, I have test fitted already, of course the lens are different and so I really can not use my cluster trim without modifing it. Plans are going to be to cut and fit the GM's cluster opening and marrying it to my cluster opening. Keep in mind that I will have the woodgrain trim to hide all my cuttings I plan to do... those are my thoughts now anyways. The wiring will not be a problem... I have the ETVM for my 90 and also have ETVM from a 96 which is actually the year cluster I'm using. the connectors are different yes... Got the 96 connectors to adapt to the cluster and some 4" of lead on ea. pin in the connector. All I need to do is find out what is what via the ETVM diagram and plug and play. Yeah... sounds like a big ordeal.... I have done this similar thing on my Thunderbird... having to change around pin placements.
Why am I doing this you say... I like mixing new into old I guess and I like a challenge sometimes... being different is what I like., one of a kind. I like turning peoples heads I guess.

Are you swapping in a digital cluster or another analog one? Iam interested in seeing how that turns out, and i like that idea with the whole old and new thing.
