    Cluster lighting

I was wondering, how difficult is it to replace the cluster lighting of an 88 Marquis with a different color? I was thinking of using LED's. And I really don't have any idea what I'm doing.

well others with a MGM will chime in, but it can be done. the are called 5 led 194 bulbs or something like that. I installed them on my CV. I had to remove the enitre cluster. Take the cluster apart, remove the existing color caps and them just pop in your the 5 led 194 bulbs you bought. then re-install.

here is how it will then look like with green bulbs.

Thanks. I've already been into the cluster, I had to tighten my speedometer cable, and also when I removed the dash. That looks very nice with that green, a lot better than the stock blue-green awful color. I was thinking of putting in bright red lights to match my CD player, and soon, my exterior paint scheme.

Thanks, and you should have no problem finding red 5 led 194 bulbs.

Just make sure you pull the blue domes, otherwise you'll have purple light. The 5 way LEDs work well.
