Ditto, Some things you just have to try out and if it don't work out then put them up for sale on craigs list then.

I put the Mopar cop rallye wheels on my '88 P72... those are nice wheels. No rubbing, and no fit issues at all.

Nathan in MN is running at least one Mopar wheel on his '89 P72. In the catalogs Mopar wheels are usually just listed as 5 on 4-1/2. If it really is 115mm and not 114.3, I doubt the extra 0.7mm will make much difference.

What are the other dimensions of said wheels? Are the width and backspacing appropriate to your chassis?

Yeah, my rear wheels are Mopar 15x7s. I can tell you that older Ford and Chrysler wheels interchange (Scott--Ford wheels fit Chrysler products just fine, it's not just the other way around), but I have no idea on the new stuff. Being that the LX platform (I'm assuming that's what the wheels in question are from?) is fairly new, it could easily be totally different from traditional Chrysler stuff.

What's the deal with this? Are typical Chrysler outer hubs smaller in diameter?

Not that I know of. Ford wheels fit Chryslers and Chrysler wheels fit Fords. Only real difference that I've noticed is that the circle for the dog dish hubcaps is smaller on Chrysler wheels. Hard to tell the difference between 'em other than that.

                          Whoops, I misread your post!

Smaller dogdishes sounds good as long as they're plain or otherwise visually Ford-compatible. :p

No it doesn't. Those are the wheels I had on my '88. They are beautiful as is, and get too "cluttered" with trim rings.

I've got about 2 sets (maybe 2 and a half) of first-gen Valiants that don't have any Chrysler insignia on 'em. Could use those, I suppose.
