1986 Mercury Grand Marquis Tudor in Waco, TX - $1400

A little rough and missing the driver's door panel. Might be a good deal other than that.

Does the seller realize that door panel is made of 99.99% unobtainium? Does appear to have potential though.

Someone’s trash is someone else’s treasure. In this case the buyer of this car would be the treasure seeker. Unless they demo it or do a Mod Box V2.0.

Me too. "Break" and "work" do not belong in the same sentence, talk about an oxymoron!

I was on my break at work last night, chugging fake gatorade to keep from dying from the heat... I dunno, seems like they kind of do belong in the same sentence sometimes?

When you're on break, you're not working. Chugging Gatorade isn't working.

It makes even less sense when they have "Need to sale" and "For sell" in the same ad.

In a similar vein...and this one I know is used on the forum sometimes...

Leaving out "to be" and not changing the verb properly. As in, the A/C needs charged (instead of charging). The car needs washed (instead of washing). The garage needs tidied (instead of tidying). Ditto when referring to the action in the past tense.

Then there's the misuse of "anymore" in a positive/affirmative context which is hard to describe but increasingly common.

These appear to be common Midwesternisms...I certainly hear a lot of them in Detroit.

I firmly believe that if you are trying to sell anything within an ad/internet forum etc.. that you should try real damn hard to make everything clear as possible and NOT give potential buyers any reasons to think negatively of you. Your ad is the ONLY thing potential buyers know of you at this point and if you make really blatant errors within your ad they may not even bother contacting you.
