That's them. Drop the float level a little and that should help. Also be very sure the little holes in the top of the boosters are open. They are air bleeds, and if they are blocked you get a similar...

I know you've checked some of these. A sunk float, dirt in the needle valve seat, the float hanging up in the bowl, or fuel pressure, assuming it's put together right and the parts aren't defective....
I put the Milestar MS775 on the Ranger I was working on a while back. They were quiet and good in the dry. Not sure about anything else because it sold.
Here's the accumulator with two shrader valves.

Slick top for the win!
In addition to the above, I don't see spark plugs on your list. I'd replace those if they haven't been replaced. Get the copper ones, usually the cheaper choice at the parts store. Easy to do...
Congrats on the purchase. Nothing like car acquisition vibes.
Sounds like the IAC valve may be not quite doing its job. Unplug it at warm idle. If the idle drops, it's working. If it stays the same, it's not.
Check around for vacuum leaks also.
The impeller blew? Wow. That's wild.
Looks good to me. The are the 94/96 Caprice/Impala/Roadmaster pipes?
Yup it can spin.
I find TDC with my finger on the number 1 to confirm compression stroke, then put a screwdriver down it and see where it stops pushing up. Center the crank between when stops...
Looking forward to following this project. Great job on the upholstery.
Nice work on the fan. Hopefully the powder coat is the trick. Paint always seems to chip on those.
On a budget, it's hard to beat GT-40 heads from an 96-early 97 Explorer and a stock HO cam.
The Comp XE258 and XE264 are pretty decent grinds that work if you want a little more cam. E303 works...
Agree 100%. Definitely does not fit my taste. The base model wheel covers are better than the wire covers.
Wheels look great on there.

$300 Colony Park with Tow Package!
It's rough but not that bad. Someone grab it before it becomes derby fodder.

Man what a dream ride. I'm glad it got saved in such good shape.
I made a set of lines for my 88. Used the original end pieces near the pump, filter, and fuel rails. I used compression fittings and sections of steel line from the parts store. Someone here said...
Missed the gauges. That's a nice setup for the space.
You are supposed to replace the crush sleeve when you pull the pinion flange off.
I never have. When I take the nut off, I mark it and the pinion gear and count the threads as I unscrew it. When...
My 90 seems to have a lot more going on with those crummy plastic vacuum lines than my 88.
The rubber ones are easier.
1.) front of upper intake to carbon canister/valve
2.) rear of upper...
This. If you don't want the extra horses from the HO. The lower intakes should be the same.
You sure you don't want the extra horses? It's 75 more. That's a 50% increase over the 150 stock. You...
My experience with the AOD leads it to be a bit clunky on decel around 15-20mph as it pulls out of locked third and into second. Especially true if the TV pressure is up a bit.
I think 16:1 is...
At the risk of going well off topic in this thread, that high school was amazing, in design but also programs offered. We offer nothing nearly as great as that. A high school that actually prepared...
