Isn't Detroit itself one big junkyard, unfortunately?
I think I got these particular wheels on my MGM. The ET is different, and the central o r i f i c e was around 62.5, compared to 70 which should be there. Also, the rear drums have a conical finish...
I am starting to realize that my Colony Park, bought ~8 000km from the USA, was cheaper than the ones sold there. In the country of its origin. Yay.
Just hoping you are just joking... try a dual-component epoxy putty/glue. There should be a few ones made especially for fixing coolant pipes and joints. My car mech used one to put a closing lid in...
I had this issue thrice maybe? in my mom's Passat, and moreover now in the MGM. It was an intermittent sound; the car mech told us that most probably, as the cable is made of small wires "screwed"...
My guesses would be:
- speedo cable;
- speedo itself;
- a breaking down relay (the autolamp one tends to rattle like this sometimes).
Hope this helps...
Judging from the information given by the seller, the worn off wood panels, and the barely visible interior, this car looks like a workstation inside :(
I am afraid that the smell inside might be horrendous. Also - with a broken gasket, it is probably not going to survive for long in a derby, so maybe it will be spared...
It looks like it is half-working, too. Maybe they wanted to use the already closed offers as a teaser to sell their own stock?
Actually, it's the engine hood in this case ;) The engine is in the arse of the car. The parts, well, if you care to pay for the shipping, there is still quite a nice choice of them in the eastern...
Definitely not a panther, but... how the heck someone in Canada ended buying a communist-era Skoda? :O

Hmm, I was rather thinking of finding something that copes well with the car style. Not sure if it would be an easy thing to find wheels that nicely fit, eg. are in the CV style, or sth like that. ...
What about the undercarriage then? Is it intended to work as a replacement/enhancement of a serial injection kit from Tamiya/Revell etc, or is it expected that the buyer builds it from scratch?

In EU, it is far more probable that people would be interested in an old box Panther than a brand new Porsche Panamera. It's like, you see...
So, the headlights. A pain in the arse in case of my MGM. After a series of tests, I am quite sure that the situation looks like this at the moment:
-> the autolamp system works ok, turning on and...
It started to snowing, so I started drifting.

Is this the unit that replaces the basic clock in the centre of the console?
Let's also share some news.
First thing worth mentioning is that I got the car to the tailsmiths. The first one said...
YOU KNOW WHAT IS ALSO BAD ABOUT THE 1985 CV? THE FREAKING CAPS LOCK EVERYWHERE.
Seriously, these are the basics of the netiquette. My eyes are aching after reading first five-six sentences of that...
It's a worldwide standard now. In Poland, we have ppl who are eager to buy ~10-30 000 USD for crappy cars from the communist era. And they are not even nice, well-built, they were obsolete the moment...
@sly, @87gtVIC: thank you for the links and additional info. I'll run a couple of different tests on the stuff and see what can be done.
Let's see what I did recently. First of all, I noticed that...
@Tiggie --> that would be turbo awesome, but yeah, I too, don't know what would be the best option. I guess that USPS has some kind of an international package that costs ~25 dollars, this being a...
Oh, thank you very much! I'll try bypassing as soon as I am done with the shifter indicator. I also think of cutting the whole 5-pin (thought it was a 6-pin, but seemingly it is not) connector from...
... seemingly. So, the car is a 88' Colony Park, with a long dead tailgate window. I got a spare motor some time ago, installed it, but the window did not respond to the dashboard panel, so I left it...
Very quick update: I do not see any sign of a thermal switch that could be outside of the switch's housing, so I think I will try to plug it in an external circuit: car battery (or a ~12V20A power...
Got it. The headlight switch connector was badly burned, but it has already been replaced. Do you maybe have any relay mod link at hand?
Thanks!
