The switch is in the housing where the bulb goes. When you open the hood, the ball of mercury slides down to make contact so the light comes on. I remove the bulbs under my hoods, the switch can...
Doesn't an 85 have the "low oil" sensor in the oil pan? The sensor can be stuck or the wire going to it may be shorting out. WagonMan

I have an 89 Colony Park that doesn't hold pressure either. To start the car I cycle the key 2-3 times and it starts right up. Been that way since I've owed it, (two plus years). I suggest just live...
No it won't. I have gauge clusters if needed. WagonMan
Maybe try hooking up a line on the output end of the fuel filter and check fuel pressure there. It would tell you if there is a problem before the filter or after the filter. WagonMan
I put a new fuel pump in my 89 Colony Park. It won't start unless I cycle the key three times. Then it starts right up. I assume you hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds when you turn the key on?...
Here is a pic of the fuel rail. WagonMan
LOL! Yes. WagonMan
Roughly $66. WagonMan
I have one but the cost of shipping would make it too expensive. WagonMan
