Huh was thinking it would be like a scissor hinge style setup like later cars. I stand corrected.

Mark VI looks like a torsion bar setup same as a Town Car.

So when is this happening? Interested if there is going to be junkyarding.
Crossed over 100k. Not much exciting to report. Had to replace the front sway bar bushings as they were making the sway bar rattle. Also oil change, greasing the 11 zerks on the car and rotating the...
98-99 TC's ran a hotter tune then regular CV/GM of similar years, so 205 HP single exhaust, dual exhaust 220 HP.
2000 was simply a holdover year where they made a few changes and detuned (200 HP...
Knock sensors were on all 98-99 TC's and ford decided to detune the engines for the 00 model year and the knock sensor didn't return until 03.
Haven't been impressed with the latest Moog stuff lately switched over to AC Delco Professional, haven't had any issues yet. The most recent purchase was lower control arms that are hecho en china...
Probably an option to delete it as part of a limo prep package when sold to a Qualified Vehicle Modifier.

That's looks to be a 80-85 Impala.
That car is a 97 judging by the the plug where the 12v accessory port should be on a 96 also not having a chrome ignition is another tell (though some 96 MY cars got the plastic ignition).
I didn't need to solve it cause 2000 doesn't have knock sensors. Only pre 03's that have it are 98-99 TC's. 2003+ CV/GM/TC they all got knock sensors.
Not much to report. Other then the idler arm gave up the ghost rather early compared to the GMQ that made it to almost 200k before the original failed. Replaced it with a AC Delco Pro idler arm....
The two tone seats are a carryover from the Bayshore edition.

I've seen a few at the yards. Think it was a option on 97's as well as...
If you have the JBL system then yes, . The RCU in your 96 is the same as the premium audio that the CV/GM got, premium in name only, flimsy speakers and not so great sounding. CD Changer wasn't a...
All 92+ CV/GM's have holes on the rear doors. The hole is for aligning it to a jig during manufacture.
No OEM indash options only a 10 disc changer was offered. The radio in the TC is in the trunk. The Remote Chassis Unit. Your going to need a bypass harness if you go aftermarket. Metra 70-5601 is...
Gentex 313/453 will have Homelink contained on the mirror as well as a compass if you want that feature. You can usually find them on Nissans, Mazda's and Kia's. Just be sure to grab the connector...
Those center caps always go missing on those wheels. I'd just get a set of wheels that has the normal cap. Replacement centers can be pricey, especially for the chrome 93/94 versions of that wheel.

All Signature and above late 1992-1994 have that style of armrest with fold out cupholders. Change holder is 95-97 which don't have fold out cupholders and wouldn't even work on the older seats as...
Started daily driving the marq again. This week had a interesting problem. Was driving fine the day before next day I noticed that during 90° turns or going up inclines the car would slip and slam...
Could probably pull out a good amount of the bashed in quarter by tack welding some pins and using a slide hammer to pull it back to shape. Would look a little better then all bashed in.
Oh since its a 1996, your gonna need the water pump nipple. F75Z-8555-AA is for 98+ but it will fit and is required for the PI heater tube.

No leaks on mine. Used 1W7Z-9424-AAA intake kit. And 1W7Z-18663-AA is the PI heater hose.
PI swapped from NPI. Just need to RTV the water...
1995-1997 Aero armrests mount differently then the earlier seat design, they mount to the seat bottom on a hinge.
I'd imagine a late 1992-1994 TC armrest would be a more direct swap which use a...
Everything I've researched recommends using a spacer. You will get more engagement using the regular yoke but you don't have the long tail shaft which also helps support the the longer p71 yoke.
