I've been driving it a little lately. Because I can, lol.
New parking brake shoes showed up today. So that'll have to get done. Might even get into the battery relocation thing this weekend too. Or...
Turns out it was the brake switch in the foot pedal. Brake lights stopped working as well.
Ordered a new switch and it should be here shortly. I did take the old switch apart and mess with it a...
Going to finish the window regulator tomorrow or this week. It's supposed to rain the next 3 days or so. Seems like the perfect time to get it done, since it is in the garage.
Ordered a new oil...
Tap worked great. Had to go buy a drill with a 1/2" chuck on it since I didn't have one. No leaks from either sensor. The temp gauge works now. Oil pressure gauge still doesn't work. That's probably...
Got the wiper cowl installed. Forgot to plug in the wiper motor. Removed the wiper cowl to plug in the wiper motor. Forgot to route the wiper juice hoses. Removed the wiper cowl. Ran the pisser...
Oh, it's a pipe tap. 3/8 -18 NPT. My rag fits amazingly well in the crossover. I've been vacuuming after every drill bit I use. I started at 5/16, and worked up to 3/8, however, i need a 9/16 for the...
You can fit a rag in underneath the spot in the crossover. It hasn't been topped off with coolant yet, so there a win.
Picked up a cheap tap set today. I NEEEEEED to finish this paper by Monday...
It runs and runs well.
I kinda forgot one thing though. The 97 has 2 coolant temp sensors. The 03 has one. I never swapped over the intake manifolds, nor did I even bother to look at them. So now I...
Harness is installed in the car.
Need to install the connectors in the car and the starter and see what happens.
Someday....

Harness is just about together. I just have to solder a connector on the LH side. I did the right side last night, just got tired.
I'm hoping to have it installed tonight, throw the starter in,...
Well, I'll let you guys know if it works for me.
It's either going to work, or it isn't. BOOM.
I'm making the harness tonight; Inside, next to the fireplace. I already brought a folding table in...
Got it all kinda in. Forgot small things, like:
I kept the 03 timing chain cover. I failed to realize that it does not have the provisions for coil packs on the front, and it takes a different belt...
Probably after I do this 2 more times.
-ryan s.
Combo is in. Everything is taken care of underneath. Just have to order a set of intake manifold gaskets, then carry. It might be running by this weekend. Might.
-ryan s.
Motor is all ready. Had to have the studs removed from the old manifolds. Yuck. New valve cover, oil pan and timing chain gaskets, and crank seal. Ready for install now. Maybe sometime this week.
...
Yup.
Still putting the 4.6L in. Should be done by the end of the month. Gotta order a few things on Wednesday.
Removed the entire A/C system yesterday, in one shot.
Good for 41.6 lbs gone....
True.
But if the transmission is out of the car, its a little easier unbolting those 6 bolts and swapping it out. That's why I suggested it. And it's probably much cheaper than having to buy a...
(I usually pull the jacks from other vehicles and use that)
Or pay the yard $60 to cut it out. #win
You are also going to need the larger output shaft housing for the drive shaft. The aluminum...
They're plug and play.

I'd grab one of those used ones, J-mod it and run the shit out of it.
You'll need boost to have 400hp crank.
-ryan s.
Not sure. Haven't had time to look at it. It's a center console shifter too.
Ugh.
-ryan s.
Fixed the fog light. Now they both work.
Last week the alternator died in the driveway. Smoked the battery too. Bought a new alternator and battery. Just what I wanted to do before Christmas......
The shit one I got was from Cardone.
The last one is a Dorman.
So we'll see how long that pile lasts.
I also saved the OE pump from the Navigator, and will probably attempt to rebuild that one...
Air suspension pump fiasco.
Bought a new air pump for the Navigator. Made it about 10k then died, and I needed to drive it. So I put the pump from the Tank into the Navigator. Ordered a replacement...
Well the 01+ are PI motors, and the 96 is a NPI motor, so it'll have less power.
All the parts will swap over. You should just have to change the exhaust manifolds on it. And the TPS, and ......
