At the risk of going well off topic in this thread, that high school was amazing, in design but also programs offered. We offer nothing nearly as great as that. A high school that actually prepared...
Sounds like progress to me. Always good to have some fixes actually fix stuff. Stuff like this really helps my mentality.
Around 89, the CV/GM switched to a 3156 in the ditch lights. Had the same problem you had with my 88 and got some donor harnesses from a later box to make the ditch light magic happen again. Not sure...
I'm ready for this thing to be on the road again! Got any 0-60 data to compare between the CFI and new setup, once it gets setup?
Will you settle for the smaller version or must it be the PI?
I run across the smaller ones every so often. None on hand currently (but I let two go to the crusher on the last two boxes that hit...
I'm definitely doing the diagnosis by picture and couch sitting. I would imagine if there is a nut there, that might be a better option!
The TV does bottom out on the trans end. During some adjustment, I set the pressure so high on my 88 that it kept me from WOT due to this. That was a little much... so I backed it down.
Can you...
On the vent window, it looks like the stud has come unglued from the glass. You can drive that pin out to remove the handle. There should be a wave washer under there IIRC to keep some tension on it...
They use the same computer, so it should be pretty similar, if not identical.
92/97 Vic or Marquis. 91/97 Lincoln is a different part number and I am not sure what the difference is, so I would seek a Ford/Merc donor.
I just happen to have a collision catalog right here. No first hand experience unfortunately. Per the book, looks like you will need the mounts and the supports, as they are different part numbers...
20 years is a long hibernation! Imagine how minty it was that long ago.
Seem to be going in the $10k-12k range lately for good drivers.
BAT really beats the heck out of eBay with all those pictures. For a distance buyer, there is nothing by better than 197 pictures,...
I just want to say this is looking much more spectacular under the hood.
Also, I added a ground from the coil to the body when I moved my coil from the A/C bracket to the plastic fender well. I...
Confirm on the door panels. My 88 has them. I think they were available through 89 and went away in 90 when power windows became standard. I like them because you get a real thing to pull on instead...
As long as full throttle = max TV lever travel and line pressure at idle is close to whatever it's supposed to be, I think you are fine in my opinion.
The more traditional Ford lockdown doesn't...
Welcome. Love me some early wagons. I need... wait... I want one.
It sold for that?!?? Wow indeed. Maybe aero prices are climbing significantly?
The later Explorer intake doesn't have the EGR provision. Not a problem if you aren't running EGR. If you are running EGR, you probably want to source a different lower.
Johnnie Blaze ran the...
Carpet looks great. Fiberglass repair is pretty handy for weak but still intact floor repair.
I'm glad I am not the only one who does this unfortunate thing! Still makes you feel like crud.
The 88-91 tails went from a dime a dozen in the junkyard to big money before I realized it. People eat those up in Facebook groups.
My E6SE heads have an S on the corner of the head there. Kind of looks like that's what yours says. Not sure about other years. They have a small plug thread, 14mm I think. The 85 heads would have...
I swapped an iron gear to a steel and they looked so similar, I couldn't really tell them apart side by side. I'll try to dig out the cast iron gear if I can find it and compare to a steel.
