Welp, it's finally time to take action on the exhaust...

I took the wagon out about a week or so ago to take my rotors from the '97...
R12 has CFCs and is bad for the ozone. It's also not easily attainable, and fairly costly to get the real stuff. There's stuff like what the Canadians can get like Freeze-12, HC-12a, etc, but the...
While not a Box, I fitted the same setup of horns on a '99 CV and used the stock wiring, save for where I removed the connector and spliced a daisy chain of spade connectors together to send power to...
Hell yeah.
Those old shocks look like they were doing a good job of just actively existing, and nothing more.
All the rear shocks I've removed that were stock I cut away the upper portion of the shock shield and clamped down the vice grips as tight as possible. They put up a fight, but eventually came apart....
Are you running a HO or Explorer cam already? If you are, using the Mustang ECU should be no issue. If you're still using a regular LoPo cam, then the Mustang computer will not work correctly.
Pretty neat to see a police ordered sedan for what eventually became a retail/private sale. Must have been tacked onto a standard fleet order since the report indicates it was part of a fleet order....
That's funny that '98 had an attenuated panel. Wonder what their thinking was.
Some similar stuff happened with that outlet. My '97 didn't offer the extra 12v outlet, but in '96 it was available.
To my knowledge if I've read things correctly, both cars have found homes with some folks around here.
That roof job kills the car for me. It is indeed a nice car, but no Panther since the Boxes can pull off a roof appliqué like that.
The price is shocking if it properly sold for $22K. Arguably...
Trunk lid should be the same ‘79-‘87, regardless if 2 or 4 door. Only differences is usually the badging changed a minute amount over those years.
The '87 finally came home under its own power today. It's incredibly filthy from all the time spent sitting and exposure, so it'll get washed down tomorrow.

If there's anyone nearby worth a damn that knows their way around an AOD, I'd suggest taking it there and having it rebuilt.
The 6G supposedly is a bit better at low speed charging even compared to the 3G, but both do well when replacing the old firetraps.
I've tossed 3Gs on five vehicles, including two non-Panther...
The 100 amp heated windshield cars use the 1G alternator and an external voltage regulator, so their wiring is a little different.
Honestly if he's keeping the factory harness, then a factory 2G...
Mass air would be good, but sometimes the speed density system places nice. I helped TecNickal swap a full '96 Explorer engine into his '89 Colony Park and we run it with a Mark VII ECU. We only...
$275?! oof
I think the two I've sold over the years I've asked like $100 or so for each. I'd never ask that much for one given precedence, even as they get harder to find.
Sniper EFI is an option, or you could swap to a conventional '86+ SEFI system, which has been done. Just a thought for costs. :2cents:
Regardless, if you did go the Sniper route, I don't see why...
Still need to swap those wiper arms around. ;)
Tint and rims look good.
When you installed the replacement headlight assemblies, did you re-aim the headlights? Poorly aimed lamps won't help...
Relay upgrade is your friend. If you’re also clever, the HIR2 bulbs can be used where a 9006 goes. One just has to trim the top tab a little to meet the profile of a 9006. They offer more lumens...
I've done every regulator on my car at this point and it's cakey-cake 30-40 minute jobs... now. :D First one was definitely a bugger, but once you get it, you've got it.
Removing that outer chrome...
Yeah, I wouldn't mind a basic safety inspection just to ensure the lights are working properly, the tires aren't bald, and it's not about to fly apart if it gets above 27 MPH. Doesn't need to go much...
If you want to put an offer out on it, shoot me a PM and I can forward you the contact info for it. I certainly hope they're not asking too much.
huehuehuehue, I haz e z monies

I don’t foresee my wagon ever being worth a ton unless fully restored and then kept for another 20 years in great shape. However, maybe it’s a sign these...
Haven't made any offers yet since I'm trying to stay sensible about things the more I think about things. I really don't need more non-runners in my life and I really want to determine if the frame...
