I had an old cast iron one laying in the scrap pile so I measured the impeller. Six blades, diameter 3 7/8". This was an original never remanufactured part. Now I need one of you to crack open an...
Not too bad at all. Gotta do the best you can with what you have available. I say it looks better than I expected.
Looks excellent. I love the dash pad ease of removal in the 79-89 Ford/Merc.
I'd forgot what a good small block sounds like. Very nice.
Door panels look nice. Sad news on the radio. I was hoping it would get ironed out and work. On high mileage vehicles, I have seen the wires break in the door jamb. Sometimes they have enough...
I think so. The cargo area in both of mine are body color. So that buried cargo area is probably original exterior paint.
Hmm. We really need to find you a seat back. I would think you can make one of of a sedan with a fair amount of custom work but having the real thing would certainly make life easier.
Can't tell...
I use Valvoline Motorcycle oil in my flat tappet stuff. It has some zinc in it last I heard. It's comes in 10w40 and 20w50. I use the 10w40. It's about $5 a quart here which is reasonable IMO.
Shocks will be ok. The lower bushings get squished. As far as the factory treatment for the wheel wells, they did what I did. I actually tried to imitate the original patterns.
My dad does the...
Wheels are done. Tires mounted. BFG Radial TA in a 215/70r14, close to original optional "plus" size. One step down from the old 225/70.
Sprayed sound deadener (Lizard Skin) in the front wheel...
I think I'd rather have the 98 Vic.
Little update.
Still experiencing a high idle along with the previously mentioned immediate loss of vacuum under load and possibly related oil blowing out the dipstick tube under sustained...
Engine code is F in Ford speak.
I'm ready for a ride.
I just want to say I am very impressed an inspector would notice it missing if you have the belt running the A/C.
Mine is supposed to be there in the 88 but it passed visuals from 2007 until last...
Good to see an aero still in daily use. They are getting unusual.
The adjuster plate is aftermarket. Seems like someone had problems with it prior to you.
Try setting the base idle since it's possible someone been screwing around with it before....
Looks great!
Looking modern under there.
Here's an 88 EVTM:

Got the 15" Hipo wheels (and engine?) and a drop top. Much want. No means to get it (cash, space, need).
Instrument clusters are delicate things that don't really like going through the postal system. I'd wager the calibration of one or both of them are off. They should be the same. The speedo cable...
Nice score. Welcome.
Some of the CFI cars had two fuel pumps. Low pressure in tank and high pressure on the frame rail. In theory, the carb can run on the low pressure pump if so equipped.
