No need to connect the thermactor stuff if you don't have provisions for it.
Wow. Apparently I got one of the few good ones. Of course, my sample size is one.
Seems the basic store brands of coil packs are just as good as the rest of them any more. I've heard of everyone having problems with all of the brands of coils in the past 3 years. I replaced the...
10W-30 or 10W-40 for whatever climate you're in. Not sure about the additives though. I don't think they're needed though. I'd only use other oils if the bearings are shot and you're trying to bring...
Bugger. I was afraid that might be the case, but all the info I found claimed the module was behind the glove box and same 03-11. Figures the internet is wrong about that.
Remove the bulb from the instrument cluster or disconnect pin 11 from the air suspension/variable steering assist module. This is the pinout from a 2003 and should be the same for a 2008 (2003-2011)....
I'd use that cooler for the power steering fluid, if anything, and get a plate cooler for the trans. Something like this:...
Nice. love it when it's a free fix.
It's not done until it's overdone. Definitely overkill... BUT... if it is needed at some point, it'll be good to have.
Magnetic ANGLE finder. You put it on the pinion part of the diff housing to to make sure that angle is the same as the angle of the transmission tailshaft.
Yeah, check for voltage at the NSS. If voltage is there, the NSS is probably bad. Put in park and neutral and if no connection through it, replace NSS and you should be good.
At most, you'll need to clearance the inner lip on the lower bracket. That's all. Takes about 5-10 minutes with a grinder. Maybe 15 with a die grinder.
As mentioned, try start in neutral. Sometimes park connection in the NSS dies. You can also disconnect the NSS and jump the start in and start out pins (don't know which ones they are) and see. You...
Nice. :2up:
I always forget about the NSS on the trans.
One of those small mirrors on a stick and a side shot flashlight in the glove box comes in really handy to see that spot.
The wire that goes to the small peg on the starter solenoid. Trace check if 12V is getting to that connector when switching to start (creative means of using multimeter with alligator clips or a...
ECM is good then. Now you just need to find out what's missing from the start switch on the ignition to the starter solenoid. Wire not connected or accidentally cut or bad ignition switch (these are...
Sometimes the lubrication in the speedo mechanism gets cruddy. A little WD40 followed with some 3-in-1 oil or some other lube that will have some stick-to-it properties but isn't real thick seems to...
Welcome.
Looking forward to pics.
Anything between half that size to that size should work fine for you then. No need to get the big mama that I have.
I'm running an even larger one (24 plate) on my 93. Towing 3500# at 70mph, return temps only ever got up to 160F or so. This is cooled fluid, so it's in a good range. Anything under 210 on the return...
+1 glue it back down.
I kinda did the same thing with an HEI rubber washer and rtv.
