Car looks like a cream puff. Good find!
I’d bite too. Congrats on the new purchase.
Are you doing the return style or returnless Sniper system? Returnless Master Kit seems to include an internal fuel pump that you can just add to your existing tank.
I almost messaged the seller on that one. Definitely in the wrong box or something. That’s got to be the 87 and prior Ford hood.
I’d wait on an nice untouched original car...
I think that one is hiding things.
I have thought of doing the same to the sides of my 90 as a temporary fix. It has a good side and a bad side due to a lifetime of carport life. Keep us posted on durability.
I experienced the same thing in my 68. Started out doing little bits to get it running and stopping safely, just to drive. It spiraled when the engine was junk, the expensive radiator needed...
That was a good deal! Had hoped the seller had a set for my Escape, but they were sold out. Glad you got your set.
Had a 71 Marquis non Brougham in the family for a while. Needed lots of cosmetics but was a good car. The title got into a big mess with a long extinct bank and no one to clear the lien.
Yours...
All Panther VV’s were the 7200 - the computer controlled one. The non computer one was indeed the 2700 but never used in a Panther.
I think you have a Cali emissions car. Just a guess.
Rust free (other than surface) deuce mangs, metal work is high and rust is never really gone from the guts. If the roof metal is okay under that vinyl, is a good project.
From your description, that mess ain’t no carburetor. The VV didn’t have a TPS, no sensor on the EGR, no manifold pressure sensor that I am aware of, and it DID use a vacuum advance on the...
80 is right I think. I think they moved the mirrors to the later style in 81. Crown Vic was the top option package on the LTD through 82.
Wonder why it has base model bumpers?
These cars have flow to the heater core at all times when the engine is running. If both hoses don’t get hot, You have a blockage or an air lock.
My 88 has its plenum cap. My 90 was virgin under the hood and doesn’t have it. I could see them cutting it for cost savings. Anyone have a 90-91 with one?
Possibly unrelated: Mustangs through early 68 used 5/16”. After, they used 3/8” so that the big block cars wouldn’t starve for fuel.
Whatever the outlet diameter is on your sending unit should be...
I really like the lower trim on the higher trim 79 Mercs. Got plans for it? 302 or 351 car?
Get a factory manual. EBay $26 with shipping or so for both volumes:...
No air but otherwise well equipped? Interesting for sure.
Good colors.
I know I am biased but I think turbines on pre facelift Box Ford is about as understated classy as it gets. I’d still...
Tripminder has been happy lately. Maybe it’s done being possessed. 200 mpg would be nice though.
Car is is happier now. Still a hiccup at very light throttle... maybe TPS. Checked codes and the...
I’d guess you can use sedan parts on the wagon housing. Or possibly transfer the resistance board from the 89 to the 90-91 unit?
For the traction-lock, you need a 28 spline 8.8 donor. Your car will have an 8.8 already. Most common traction lock donors are 90s-00s 4.0 Rangers, V8 Mustangs 86-04ish, and the unusual Panther here...
Great color combo. The red tone interiors are non existent in most new stuff but I like it - especially with white outside.
I use the tapatalk app when inbred to upload pics.
No plumbing for smog.
I tested the left O2 using the procedure outlined in my service manual. 10-14in of vacuum on the MAP, good and hot engine. Supposed to see over 0.5V within a minute. Was...
I got the message about 6PM several days ago. Also the first time in a while.
