Sounds reasonable but my concern was the pores of the carbon holding water and then mold forming and creating mycotoxins.
Will the filter trap water long enough to create mold/mildew which may also cause allergic reactions? I do actually like the idea assuming no other issues are created.
ALWAYS double check part numbers no matter where you find them.
Can always check with RockAuto, at least for a part number.
Actually, Rockauto shows it for an '87 GM which is the same part for about $86 (MOTORCRAFT DY1284 {DU2Z12A297A} should you decide to go that way. Haven't looked at EBAY to see if the price can be...
May or may not matter but I wouldn't trust an aftermarket TFI. May be difficult to find an OEM but I would make to effort to do so.
If we're talking about the '87, the IAC is on the driver's side towards the back of the intake.
I'd replace ALL the vacuum lines, under the hood, along with the check valve for the ATC. On that kind of trip, your cool ass will thank you! I'm sure you'll address the other issues as well. Getting...
As Popeye once said, "Ya puts up your money and ya takes your chances!" Not even sure any are still made in the USA so they are probably made in the same factory (China) and sold under different...
Yea, I was referring to the Box part and/or '93 through '95. Not sure about anything newer than that.
Strange as my OEM PCV came with both. That is why I asked.
Doesn't that fitting come with the valve?
My friend needed them for his '96 CV and we sourced them from Amazon. Since they are all made in China, the decisions process is real easy. In any event, they are still "holding up" (sorry for the...
Those are all wired "hot" so may be drawing power even though no bulb is present (someone may correct me on this). I've also seen alternators test well but have bad diodes and draw down a battery so...
Then, there is that!
Don't even get me started on that topic! We currently have a front row seat to the destruction of society - every norm possible is being attacked. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is...
Came from the Bronx so I do know about it but then that is why they invented AR-15's!
Until (and probably even after) you find the draw, I'd keep one of these "bad boys" in the trunk. I've got one and my friend has one in each of his three cars. Can't tell you how many times they...
Yep - wiring (grounds) and alternator production would be the first few things to check.
Cool! So about $300. Didn't get a chance to peruse the installation video so would need to see if it is worth the effort. Thanks for the photos/links!
Never even seen one. Got a photo/link to a product?
Likely so. Forgot, if spraying starter fluid got the car started, the injectors would need to be working.
Sounds like the fuel injectors may not be opening. Don't believe a '90 Wagon has a crankshaft or camshaft sensor so the injectors may not be getting power from the PCM. I would check for power at the...
Attention to detail + logical determination of problem + fixing the problem to produce correct result = GREAT job!
