If it's just the color of the light bugging you, 3500K color (warm white) will look like the old bulbs.
May indicate a bad or misaligned seal/gasket. Maybe a tab hanging inside the air path. Usually air induction (getting sucked into the intake) sounds more like a woosh/hiss than a whistle.
The one that hangs out exposed is the horn relay IIRC. Could be handy to have outside to remove if needed should the relay weld itself shut. But that's the only reason I can see leaving it outside.

32-35 PSI (whatever gets the contact patch good) and driving to get the tires warm (some highway driving) should get the tires back in round within 10-20 miles depending on how thick the radial bands...

Can drill and tap the flat boss on the side near the thermostat for the older temp sensor. That's what I did with my 93 and the 03 engine swap.
