    The thought of plastic timing chain sprockets makes me cringe. If I were you I'd replace the plastic stuff with steel and get a new timing chain.
    The new HO style double roller chains have steel sprockets.

      Ok cool, i understand alot more, I got another tool to put down on my list of things i need. Breaker bar. Ima get that and a Engine compresion gauge And a box end open end wrench set :-D

        Im runnign gear drives. you can use them as long as your motor does not have a knock sensor. (AFAIK No 302's came with one, exceptmaybe for the newer explorers) They are loud at first but seem to quiet down over time. Mine were very noticable at first, but now i can barely hear them, just sounds like i have an older powr steering pump that is whining a little bit.
