Yeah, the digital speedo has a regular cable coming up to it which spins a disc that has slots around its perimeter. It just watches how fast the slots go by. The cable also drives the odometer.

I got some pics of the fuel sender swap. I will do a write up on the entire cluster sometime too. Only took like 20 minutes, i jacked up the car a little, but if you're skinny you might not even have to, just some extra room. Make sure you only do this with 1/3 or less of a tank of gas. There is a little metal ring that has to be spun counter clockwise using a rubber mallet and stick (anything that wont spark). Then the sender just pulls out and installation is reverse. The senders look amost idenical, the sender for the digital guage had a little E and J stamped on it, the standard sender just had a regular ford part number.

          Digital sender:

Standard sender top, digital sender bottom. only major difference was the color of the wire.

The sender while in the tank. Once you actually get under there there is plenty of room.

A pic with a full tank of gas and the speedo in action!

Just a random pic while i was under there of my rust free frame and underbody. Hooray for no road salt.... write your congressman!

Hey, it's a lot easier to bolt on duals than to perform surgery on rotted-out floorpans!

Well you dont have to steal my car, you can just buy any panther here and chances are it wont be rusty. You should really write your congressman and tell them to stop using road salt, it just does more harm than good. They just compact the snow and throw gravel over it here and it works fine. I never see cars rusted out here like you see in the midwest/east.

88MercWagon - I have no idea what i would charge, its not to much money in parts but it took a while. Maybe i will build another sometime and sell it on here for whatever seems fair. I'l also do some sort of write up on it for anyone who wants to build one.
