I couldn't leave well enough alone.....here's my submission.....

I call this "Ode to the small oil stain I found in my shirt one midsummer morning"

Waking up at the crack of Noon,
                Telling Tales of endless poon,
                Radio playing a quiet tune,
Wrecking yard tours reveal a boon

Panther P74 left early, afterward bitching,
His whining just like mosquito bite itching

The bullshitting with friends about weighty matters is something I desire,
More things to do than you can shake a stick at,
I want to do this as many times as I can, well before I retire,
Driving there from far away will produce a lot of bug splat

Rather than rely on others to tell me what happened,
The visual record to which I am blind,
I want to be there in person, start to end,
I want this sight to be imprinted on my mind

It's only 2800 miles that I have to drive,
to go this very same time next year,
To get there I shall have to strive,
to bring you some well-shaken Oregon beer

                Fin'

To Scottfest '07 I wanted to go,
But money is coming mighty slow.
When it came around, I missed the thrills,
But needed my cash to pay up my bills.

Hopefully soon, I will have my job,
And make my Merc into a hotrod.
For ScottFest '08 I can handle the cost,
And still have some for my dual exhaust.

                    Thank you.
