The junkyard run has been moved to either thursday or friday to the impending doom weather system that is headed this way.
I now need:
-aluminum driveshaft
-analog gauge cluster
-locking differential and diff cover from a CVPI.
word.

Hmmm I'm really tempted now to stop there and try to find a HO valve cover and grab some backing plates for my rear disc swap...
Hopefully it won't rain to bad tomorrow.

UPDATE

So, after my aventures yesterday at two local junkyards, these are the fruits of my labor:
-Aluminum driveshaft $24
-headlight switch-$10
-AC pump -$30-something
-speedometer cluster- $20
-dash clock- free

So, the cluster. I was going to try and swap the gears but i just installed this one anyway. Check this out.....
I went to two yards, and of those two yards, there was only 1 92-94 MGM which had my horizontal speedometer that i needed.
That one car's mileage was 150,947. My odometer stopped working at 150,784.
Thats only 163 miles difference. DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!! HOLY buck futter!!!!!!!!
and i believe i've driven approximately 163 since it stopped working last thursday. So, in my mind, it's ok.

I gotta get ready to go snag my H- or F- axle differential.

So, after convening with a fellow GMNer today, i decided to list the parts on my vehicle that have been so gratefully and heroically sacrificed from one Panther to another Panther so that it may continue to march on the path/road towards victory.

The Fallen:

1990 LTC- Fuel Pump
1993 MGM- Power antenna, power antenna button
1993 MGM- Back seat overhead light assembly, trunk light
1994 MGM- Tensioner arm, pulley
1994 MGM- Speedometer cluster, headlight switch
1995 MGM- Left rear tire and rim
1997 CV- A/C Compressor
1998 LMKVIII- Electric fan
2000 CVPI- Aluminum drive shaft
2001 CVPI- Left rear exhaust bracket/hanger (+10hp)

Work from the other day and today..

Here are the speedometers...


My old A/C compressor from a 94 Bronco. On the trip across America, from Cali to NY, My A/C Compressor bearings failed 30 miles west of Omaha, NE. Since i didn't feel like paying $214 for a new compressor, dude at the gas station owns a junkyard and hooks me up with a compressor from a bronco. It didn't fit because the case was too long. I cut the 4 retaining bolts, ripped the rear case of and gutted the internals. That was in June. Like 5,000 miles ago. I just bought a junker to put in there because the belt wasn't sitting on the pulley correctly. Now it's ok!!!


Today, i scored a Trac-Loc for 24.95. It had 3.55's on it, but i didn't want those. So...


We found a 97 CV in the junkyard with 39k on it. It was what one person called "a travesty".

I had to wiggle it around so that the axle could slide through the space in the clip. And then i proceeded to kick a touchdown!!! Woot!
So this friday, the craziness begins.....

In other news, i just totally disassembled my old speedometer with:
- Torx T-15 bit
- 5.5mm socket
- fork.
