    Different Timing Covers

So, what timing cover do I need to get so that I can run a mechanical fuel pump setup?

my uncle took mine off and said that it wont work since there's no holes tapped for the pump to attach to.
I imagine I need a Timing cover for a '83-84 302...so that its already set up to run a mechanical pump. yes/no?

all the local part stores said they would have to order that timing cover, so I'm just gonna order it off of RockAuto myself so that I get a decent price.

can someone show me what to get please?

It might need to be longer. Yhe fi one is short because a tab on the two piece excentric goes in the same hole as the dowel pin. The pin might engage the hole but now the pump is going to put presure on the ecentric before it didnt.

You could have gottin a Holley or Mallory carb electric pump.

I will look around later and see if I still have one. I usually use them up make some mods and pull my PCV through the front cover.
