Front end fascia swap to CV

    Hi all!

I am planning on swapping out the front-end fascia from my 1999 GM to look like a CV. I have come across a CV header panel, CV front bumper, and a CVPI honeycomb grille, so I figure that's all I need to swap out the front-end. Several websites confirmed this as well, especially the Ontario CV/Panther Owner's Forum:
    <a href="http://www.oqcvo.com/Tech/faq4.html">http://www.oqcvo.com/Tech/faq4.html</a>

However, my buddy's dad is a service manager for a dealership and knows his sh!t, and told me that I cannot simply bolt on these parts without getting CV quarter panels. Has anyone been able to do this without the quarter panels, or do you recommend I just listen to the expert on this one and pick some up at a junkyard and find someone to match paint them?

    Thanks for all your help!

To make a marq look like a Vic, you will need the header panel, grille, lights, bumper cover and front fenders. The fenders were unique to the Marq from '92-02. The difference? Just look at the turn signals; they are a completely different shape.

It could be worse you could be updating an older gmq to look like a newer one which you'd have to get into wireing. But as Redline said you'll need the fenders b/c of the difference between the corner lamps on the GMQ and the CV. But after that it's all simply bolt on.

Thanks to all for the valuable input, I will get those fenders as soon as I can.

Lincolnmania, I want to make it change so I can get the CVPI grille to look flush on the new header panel I've got and I also have a CV bumper, so I figure it would be an interesting modd to change the whole front end. I'd also like to get the smoke-black headlights and corner lights that I've found on the internet.

Why not do a Marauder conversion? They have kickass headlights and corner lamps

I've definitely thought of doing that, but I'm almost certain that my next vehicle will be a Marauder, and I already have the bumper and header panel for a CV, so I might as well go with the flow - but that is a great suggestion TheFamousLee!
