As far as the less expensive h-pipes go, I've seen some for $75 up to almost $200 for after market ones. But seeing as its a used stock one, I'd offer him maybe $40-50.
Yeah, glasspacks are generally louder, but as 1987cp said, it depends on the comparison, they'll be louder than something like a turbo muffler, but may not be as loud as some chambered ones. The length of the glasspack makes a difference too.

steve I'd hit the yard first, i got a full exhaust (hpipe mufflers and tails) for 28 bucks today! I plan on using the stock mufflers for a while then I'll put magnaflows on later and don't worry about how crappy the pipe looks the pipes may be rusty but for some reason these exhausts don't rust through they are tough, I've never seen the exhaust on an interceptor falling apart no matter how many times I've been to the yard

thats because the pipes are stainless if i remember correctly, they may get a little surface rust but they will be fine regardless.

Thank you everyone very very much for the valuable input! I apologize that I haven't been around here to give more thanks and input, I just had some major surgery this past December.

I'm doing ok now, and I'm finally back to work, so I'm well enough to log back onto this site hehe

As some of you suggested, getting a pair of used pipes at a yard or from another ride is probably the best way to go for me. I'll let you know how it goes!
