none fit right unless you go pricey aftermarket.

the 98+ cars IIRC have em. But if you're going to look in a yard.. .stick your head under there and see what you can find.

clear coating pollished up like crazy wont stick to aluminum for long. That with PPG urathane enamel. Spray bomb stuff uga. PPG will stick to brrushed aluminum.

Any 8.8 cover will bolt on just fine. My aluminum one is from a 2005 Mustang.

thanks, i'll polish it and hit it with some wax, which'll have it looking good for quite some time so thats good. so it looks like any 8.8 will fit then.

              thanks, andy

Yep, grab one from a newer Vic or something. I grabbed one and used it on the 8.8 that was going in (but never went in due to the IRS swap....) my Capri. Fit is fantastic.

how is a good chrome one? Can't find any aluminum covers on ebay, but will still check out the junkyards. looking for a smooth cover with no fins or anything like that. a new chrome one shouldn't rust to quick will it?

                      thanks, andy

will do, i'll get a nice chrome one, tripple chromed and that, and keep the wax on it. Quite a bit cheeper than aluminum which is a good thing for a 17 year old, lol.

                              thanks
