The hitch is a handy thing. I've used mine a few times, but not nearly what it used to be used for. My car was bought to tow a 2 horse trailer. I've pulled two Towncars and my S10 on a tow dolly at different times with it. I've also used it to haul a fair size flatbed trailer when we were moving. I don't back stuff down the ramp because I don't want the salt water on the car but I have little doubt it would do what I ask as long as I got traction.

            Did more work today.

Installed the Lincoln Town Car Under seat courtesy lights! Since the seats were out I also tapped out a seat mount hole for a bigger bolt as it was stripped.

            Can't see much:

And I cleaned up the interior and took some new photos.

Nice and clean as always! But, how do you already have a rusty fender?

It was rusty before, both of them were. I cut out all the rust I saw at the time but other areas had rust that now showed its ugly rust head. I should have known that where there is some rust there will be more. It sucks but oh well. I have a minty p.side one already. I just have to find a d.side one that is just as nice. It definitely was a learning experience.

Looking good. Sucks about the fenders. What's the plan? Install new ones and paint/blend to match?

I am not sure what the plan is. I really want to wait on putting the fenders on until AFTER i have new engine installed. When that is, who know? Having the parts in my possession though is half the battle. I planned to take the entire front clip off and fix whatever needs fixing and install new engine then.

Finished making my gt 40 tubular intake cover. This started as a flat sheet of aluminum and after some jigsawing, filing, bending, welding, grinding and sanding you have this:

                        It is getting painted tomorrow.

Makes sense. Do the mechanicals then focus on fixing up the body. The rust you are talking about never shows up in the pictures, so you probably have plenty of time before it becomes a major issue.

I learned with my old Malibu that all suspension and engine work should be done before the body and paint are done. Even if you're just doing a $400 Maaco special.

Agreed. I'd like to have a small sub with the amp built into it. I just do not know what type to purchase. I think bazooka sells/sold? subs with built in amps? A little bump is really what the audio system needs.
