Actually, that looks more like style 26. I think I'm gonna go with 26 now, I will report back after I install them. Thanks for posting the pic, btw.

My drivers side run channel is in pieces and moves with the window at times so pretty much anything wood be an improvement at this point, On the plus side I can easily pop a chunk out to see a cross section. On a side note, is the lower reveal (where dew wipes are attatched) molding just held on by nuts (I know one is at each end - possibly some towards center accessible from inside door shell), or are there also those annoying Ford clips that never go back on to?

Pertaining your screw/nut (they are self tapping screw btw) question, my Crown Victoria had three holding the metal reveal down iirc (one at the door jamb near the hinges, one by the vent window and one at the very end of the door) while the Grand Marquis door shell I got had two. As far a clips that never go back on, NO. I had no problem reinstalling my window reveal. On the back of the reveal there are a few metal clips that hold (clamp) down on the door frame to secure it in place.

That's really good news to hear because I'd love to replace the dew wipes like the guy did on Lincolnsonline did and from what you said it's not entirely that bad. I had a problem with the clips with the drivers side upper reveal where I never could get the clips to reattach and then of course lost them. That piece is caulked onto the car for the time being but I want to try ordering some clips from Lawson to get it on the right way. One thing I'm very paranoid about is the vent window gasket/seal.

Ahhh, my apologies. In fact you to have to mess with some metal clips. As of right now the metal clips are attached to the dew wipe material and will need to be swapped over to the new dew wipe material. This can easily be done with a flat head screw driver to remove the clips from the old material, and the use a bench top vise to squize the metal clips back onto the dew wipe material.

OK update! not a good one.

                          http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...window+channel

as of right now, and possible some time ago, style number 27 of the precision all rubber window channels has been DISCONTINUED. Which sucks because i was about to order some so i can have new window channels for my p. side window.

Style 26 is still available and so is style 20. I know 20 works, because that is installed on Toms GMGT. I just need feedback from Brandon and his Marquis, if he purchased style number 26 yet.

Either way i am going to be purchasing one of the two mentioned styles and make it work once my car is painted.

I really though 27 was the best one and almost cried when i heard 27 was discontinued.

I'm waiting until after paint before I order and install Style 26, in all four doors of my Marquis. I'll be removing all the window run channels and quarter/vent windows before paint anyway, so I'm gonna take that convenient time to install the new channels. I will let you guys know afterward if they worked correctly or not, looks like it will be an exact fit though.

Yea, I still have a long way to go. Doing the slicktop conversion, and painting the jambs is gonna make it take even longer than usual to complete.

By all means let us know how it works out though!
